Company Details: Currently employed at Kane Brewing Company in Ocean NJ as the Inventory Manager.
Biography: Many years ago, I found myself working in New York City at a publishing company in an design industry I was no longer passionate about. I left that world many years ago and began searching for what was truly in my heart. I have always had a passion for beer and its connection with the culinary world.
My wife found information on the Cicerone Certification Program and thought it would be perfect for me. I was instantly hooked. I studied daily, from textbooks, to home brewing, to torturing my friends with off flavor sessions. I have never been so proud of myself the day I received notification that I had passed the Certified Cicerone exam. I began researching how local restaurants and bars treated their beer in a public setting. It wasn't getting the respect it deserves. I realized then that the only way to truly know about the retail side of the industry, I would have to learn much more about the production side of the equation.
I applied to Kane Brewing Company in February of 2017 and I've been lucky enough to have been employed by them ever since. My goal is to one day create a sensory program that expands beyond the walls of the breweries, and ventures into the establishments that serve it. From employee training to customer education.
